We provide fine quality home building, renovations, custom cabinetry, architectural woodworking and residential management services for discerning clientele.
We are currently seeking an accomplished Director of Millwork to join our team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an effective professional to lead all activities for the Millwork Division, cultivating Woodmeister's reputation as the premier builder in the high-end residential market.
Responsibilities:
Direct, plan, and execute all activities for the Millwork Division.
Create efficient and effective processes and systems to meet project quality, schedule, and profitability goals.
Hire and develop staff to meet production schedule requirements and stay current with new technologies and methods.
Manage Division growth initiatives to meet the organization's strategic objectives.
Exemplify Woodmeister culture, attract and retain a world-class team, manage, motivate, mentor, evaluate and develop team.
Work with the Shop Foreman and Production Manager to manage engineering process/tools and millwork production standards.
Work with Installation team and factory management to reduce fabrication or assembly issues.
Work with Project Managers on client management strategies and work through project and client issues when they arise.
Develop request for services process from internal departments (GC, LMS, Design) and external sources (clients/architects/designers) as information is shared.
Prepare the Millwork Division for the logistical challenges associated with the National Millwork and other growth initiatives related to building materials, geographic conditions, transportation and staffing Review project pricing and change requests with Project Managers, anticipate and address challenges.
Work with estimating to refine estimating process to improve the accuracy and timing of estimates.
Develop vendor partnerships to allow growth in new markets and maintain a consistent supply of raw materials.
Monitor individual project performance in meeting quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals.
Prepare annual budgets for manpower, equipment, and expenses needed to meet annual revenue goals.
Monitor actual results month over month.
Create yearly strategic plan that aligns with the overall corporate goals.
Qualifications:
8
years of demonstrated Millwork management experience is required.
Thorough understanding of the millwork industry, especially residential millwork, including machinery, carpentry, installation.
Proven ability to manage teams and large projects, maintain multiple priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to develop relationships with team members, sub-contractors, designers, and customers.
Skilled planner, able to organize, delegate, manage, budget and schedule.
Able to plan and organize projects in detail, plan and manage people and budgets, and manage resources.
