The Rehabilitation Counselor (Proctor Supervisor) role will guide the treatment to effect change in the best interest of the clients. The position will be responsible for supervising clients in their care and not other employees. Responsible for providing both clinical and non-clinical foster care services to an assigned caseload of clients; providing ongoing case management services to proctor parents in the Therapeutic Foster Care program, including ongoing treatment planning, acting as a community/agency liaison. Responsibilities include implementing and assisting in individual therapeutic treatment programs. Provide regular weekly visits and support, direction and feedback to proctor parents and clients. Ensures documentation is kept current. Facilitates treatment meetings. Provide on-call services for critical situations occurring after hours. Will act as lead when intervening with treatment team to effect change in the best interest of the client. Coordinate with staff in preparing annual, semi-annual, and discharge reports on clients program and progress. Assist with conducting clients' intake and ensures documentations are kept current.
Requirements: Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related Social Sciences field. 12 months experience in job offered or working with special needs and/or disabled children. Education or experience must include: (1) one year experience working with children with autism, (2) creating and maintaining a therapeutic milieu, (3) conducting functional behavioral assessments and developing behavior interventions 4) PECS communication system, applied behavioral analysis and positive behavior support plan. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
